Health and Wellness Benefits

Suntiva offers medical insurance through Carefirst Administrators to all full-time employees, and to regular, part time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week.

  • Employees are offered a choice of three different plans.
  • Our plans include annual routine exams and wellness visits and well-child care and immunizations.
  • The 3-tier prescription drug plan includes a $0 generic drug benefit — a welcome surprise at the pharmacy counter!

Suntiva offers two MetLife dental plans to all full-time and regular, part-time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week. Both plans provide:

  • 100% coverage for preventative services (up to two exams/cleanings per year).
  • 80% coverage for basic services.
  • 50% coverage for major services when using an in-network dentist.
  • Orthodontia for Adults and Children up to $1,000 per person.

We offer a vision plan through Davis Vision at no cost to the employee. You and your family are entitled to a comprehensive eye exam annually as well as discounts on contact lenses and frames.

Retirement and Financial Security Benefits

Suntiva offers you a 401(k) retirement plan, including both traditional and Roth 401(k) options and a company match subject to a vesting schedule.

Suntiva offers an FSA, designed to provide you tax savings by enabling you to pay for certain Health Care and Dependent Care out-of-pocket expenses with pre-tax dollars. These dollars are deducted from paychecks on a pre-tax basis and are deposited into your FSA.

Suntiva offers comprehensive Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) plans that provides coverage of two times (2x) annual salary for each up to a maximum policy limit.  The Life Insurance and AD&D benefits are provided at no cost to you. Optional, voluntary Supplemental Life and AD&D is available to you as well.

You have to option to purchase additional Life and AD&D insurance for yourself, your spouse, and/or children. Employee Life and AD&D are available in increments of $10,000 up to five times (5X) annual salary, to a maximum policy limit.

Our short-term disability benefit affords you income protection in the event you are unable to work due to disability. STD typically starts after 14 days of disability and covers up to 60% of your pre-disability earnings. Suntiva provides STD insurance at no cost to you.

Our long-term disability benefit affords you income protection in the event an accident, injury, or illness extends beyond the period covered by short-term disability. The benefit amount paid is 60% of your gross monthly base pay up to plan limits. Suntiva pays 100% of your LTD premium.

Educational Assistance Benefits and Incentive Reward Programs

Tuition reimbursement is available for work-related certifications, training, conferences, and/or college level credits at an accredited undergraduate or post-graduate institution.

  • Annual reimbursement amount for college tuition upon satisfactory completion (grade B or better).
  • Reimbursement for training, conferences and certifications with prior management approval.

If someone you refer is hired for a full-time position, you are eligible to receive a generous referral bonus. Temporary and part-time positions are also eligible for a pro-rated referral bonus.

For every new business opportunity you identify that results in the staffing of a full-time equivalent (FTE), you can earn a bonus per FTE. So, if the opportunity results in five FTE’s, you can earn a bonus for each.

Lifestyle and Relaxation Benefits

Suntiva’s Personal Leave policy is among the best in the DC area. We combine vacation and sick days into a single plan.

  • Full-time Suntiva employees earn over four weeks per year of personal leave.
  • After four years with Suntiva, full-time employees earn over five weeks of personal leave per year.
  • Full-time employees also receive nine (9) set holidays and one (1) floating holiday per year.
  • Part-time employees are also eligible to earn personal leave based on number of hours worked per pay period.

Suntiva’s EAP plan provides assistance and services to you and your family for everyday work and life issues. Confidential counseling is available 24/365 for services including emotional well-being, legal, work pressure, aging parents, and financial services.
