We are seeking a dynamic, high-energy, results-oriented Acquisition Consultant to support project management, business development, and delivery across our federal and defense clients. The right candidate is a strategic thinker, excellent at building client and partner relationships, hands-on and able to multi-task, flexible, and passionate about the opportunity to work with highly motivated, skilled professionals in a small business environment.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a Project Manager for the USAID Office of Acquisition and Assistance (OAA) to include:
- Management of ongoing client relationships and delivery on multiple projects and work streams;
- Stewardship of all customer relationships within the account(s), and continuation of Suntiva’s 100% track record of quality, timely delivery and customer satisfaction;
- Working collaboratively with other corporate leaders in a matrix organizational model, including Service Line leaders and other Account leadership, to proactively manage business development, delivery, and staffing priorities;
- Leadership and mentoring of account staff;
- Managing the course development and delivery of critical OAA courses, Implement an organized approach to meeting training development and delivery, and identifying and resolving potential risk issues as they present themselves across projects.
Serve as an Acquisition SME to support business development and project delivery across accounts:
- Lead / support business proposals, build and develop client and partner relationships, and prepare for and delivery oral presentations in support of business development
- Participation in other corporate and related initiatives, with a “roll up the sleeves” mentality typical of a small business environment;
- Support recruiting and on-boarding processes at HQ
Basic Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Business, Information Technology, Government Acquisition, Program Management or related field required;
- Eight to Twelve (8-12) years experience delivering and managing consulting programs in a public sector environment; specific and proven success in winning and managing multiple projects in a federal government environment;
- Extensive knowledge of Federal procurement processes and procedures required;
- Experience in managing or delivering Training services required;
- Strong business development, verbal communications, writing, and interpersonal skills are required.
Additional Qualifications:
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired;
- Experience supporting USAID, and an understanding of the organization/mission, including relationships with key stakeholders is a plus;
- Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks, and to lead through influence versus needing to be “in charge”.
Clearance(s)
- Prefer candidates with an active SECRET, or the ability to obtain one.

We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Acquisition Systems Consultant with Client Relationship Management, Business Development, and Acquisition experience to manage and develop opportunities related to the future of DoD Contract Writing Systems. The right candidate is entrepreneurial, hands-on, enjoys multi-tasking, is flexible, and is passionate about the opportunity to work with highly motivated, skilled professionals in a small business environment. The individual will report directly to the Executive Vice President.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Program Management support to Suntiva leadership and business development team to include:
- Leads processes to develop solutions and strategies by participating in strategic account planning for acquisition and contract writing system opportunities;
- Cultivates partner relationships at a strategic levels to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes, winning solutions, and future opportunities;
- Accountable for designing solutions, recognized as a leader and mentor in the field(s) of contracting, acquisitions, and contract writing systems;
- Exhibits stewardship of all client and partner relationships, promotes and markets Suntiva’s 100% track record of quality, timely delivery and customer satisfaction;
- Works collaboratively with other corporate leaders in a matrix organizational model, including Service Line leaders and other Account leadership, to proactively manage business development and staffing priorities;
- Participates in other corporate and related initiatives with a “roll up the sleeves” mentality typical of a small business environment;
- Applies new ideas and innovative approaches to developing opportunities that will differentiate the company from its competitors; and
- Develops solutions through the use of cross-functional teams to promote the organization’s strengths.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Business, Information Technology, Program Management or related field required;
- Deep functional or technical experience in DoD, especially Army and Navy, Contract Writing Systems and Contracting Procedures ;
- Expert in full lifecycle contracting processes;
- Twelve to Fifteen (12-15) years experience delivering and managing consulting programs in a public sector environment; specific and proven success in winning and managing multiple projects in a Department of Defense;
- Demonstrated knowledge in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other agency supplements (e.g. DFAR, FTR, FPMR, GSAM, etc);
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills that will assist in building relationships with Suntiva’s Partners is required; and
- Strong Business Development Capabilities (partnership skills, negotiation, proposal writing, account/project strategy).
Additional Qualifications:
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred;
- Experience supporting several DOD agencies and relationships with key stakeholders is highly preferred;
- Master’s Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred;
- Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks, and to lead through influence versus needing to be “in charge”.
Clearances
- Candidates must have active Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
