We are seeking a dynamic, high-energy, results-oriented individual with Project Management Office experience to join a large government program in Huntsville, Alabama. The right candidate is hands-on, a self-starter, enjoys multi-tasking, is flexible, and is passionate about the opportunity to work with highly motivated, skilled professionals in a small business environment.  This team member will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of key project management principles.  The PMO team will apply the principles of PMBOK to help the organization implement a full life-cycle program management methodology. Utilizing the organizational Strategic Plan, the PMO team will ensure program alignment is consistent with the Four Pillars – Governance Practice, Knowledge Sharing, Program Execution, and a Deployed Capability. 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advise and assist the Government Project Leads, to include:                      

  • Maintain the repository for status reports, work plans, etc.
  • Utilize MS Word to provide professional Project Management correspondence to the customer
  • Develop professional presentations using MS PowerPoint
  • Implement an organized approach to meeting development
  • Proficiency in MS Project and building and maintaining integrated MS Project schedules
  • Identify and resolve common problems and potential risk issues across projects
  • Provide oversight to ensure projects are in compliance with established standards
  • Standardize project management processes, tools, documentation, and templates
  • Monitor project portfolio to ensure timely updates and performance reporting process
  • Improve project management capabilities, knowledge, competence, and skills
  • Provide up-to-date portfolio-level status reporting to executive management
  • Provide PM guidance, training, tools, and techniques to project managers
  • Conduct post project reviews, lessons learned, and performance score cards
  • Implement continuous improvement to the overall project management process

Basic Qualifications

  • BS Degree required; Information Technology, Program Management or related field preferred
  • 5-10 years experience in managing programs in a formal PMO environment
  • Experience with MS Project a must
  • 10% or more domestic travel may be required

Additional Qualifications

  • PMP or DAWIA Level III Program Management certification is highly desired
  • DOD Program Management experience is highly desired
  • Senior Military HQ Staff G-6 experience a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of Clinger-Cohen Act, Army Regulation 25-1 and 25-2 a plus
  • Knowledge of business optimization methodologies, processes, and tools highly desired (CMMI, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, EA, COBIT)

We are seeking a dynamic, high-energy, results-oriented Business Analyst with Acquisitions and Project Management experience to join a large government program in San Antonio, Texas. This team member will be responsible for facilitating the efficiency of the various health care program services. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Advise and assist the Government Project Leads, to include:                      

  • Analyze programs to assist in the development of more efficient contracts, reduce costs, improve existing programs and/or assist in the implementation of new ones
  • Assist in the development of – performance work statements, funding documents, waivers, etc. Assemble packages in the appropriate format for forwarding through the acquisition process
  • Provide program administration to ensure programs maintain cost, schedule, and funding parameters
  • Interprets and applies federal, department and local policies, rules, regulations and procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of RFI’s, RFP’s and RFQ’s by performing support functions, benefits, and other operational expenses. Also assist in the preparation of PWS
  • Analyze potential contractors to determine reliable, and capable sources for solicitation, and assist in determining  specific terms and conditions related to requirements that should be included in solicitations and related contracts
  • Assist in the development of departmental budgets, help monitor expenditures and income to assure availability of funds, and make projections regarding expenditure patterns
  • Monitor program performance, maintain scope and cost control, and assess Quality Control measures
  • Assist in preparation of original pre-award and task order award documentation. In addition, prepare subsequent contract modification documentation and facilitate and facilitate change control process
  • Conduct post project reviews, lessons learned, and performance score cards
  • Implement continuous improvement to the overall project management process

Basic Qualifications

  • BS Degree required; Business Administration, Acquisitions/Contracts Management, or a  related field
  • Three to Six (3-6) years experience in managing programs in a formal PMO environment.

Additional Qualifications

  • PMP or DAWIA Level III Program Management certification is preferred
  • DOD Program Management experience is highly desired
