Suntiva Closes 2010 with Six Awards; Record Revenue for Eighth Straight Year

Company Widely Recognized Among Region’s Fastest Growing Companies

FALLS CHURCH, VA, January 10, 2011…Suntiva, a trusted advisor to leaders in achieving their most critical business outcomes, announced today that the Company has completed a record year in 2010, posting its eighth consecutive year of revenue growth.  Revenue increased by more than 50% over 2009, with six prominent organizations  naming Suntiva to their coveted roster of the top privately-held, fastest growing companies.  The 2010 award recognitions included:

  • Inc 500 Magazine, named as one of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. for the third consecutive year – one of only 17 companies in the country to accomplish this feat;
  • Washington Technology, named the 6th fastest-growing company in the DC region as part of their annual Fast 50 award;
  • Washington Business Journal, named the 13th fastest growing company in the DC Area;
  • Virginia’s Fantastic 50, named as the 4th fastest growing company in the Commonwealth;
  • Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA), named as one of 57 businesses in the county that are most contributing to local job creation and business success;
  • Consulting Magazine, named as one of the “Seven Small Jewels” in the country as a successful management consulting firm.

Even more impressive than the wide-ranging industry recognition, however, were the accolades received from customers.  In 2010, Suntiva was recognized by MedImmune for the critical work done to support their on-time delivery of the H1N1 vaccine across the U.S.  In addition, Suntiva’s work at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was featured in the Washington Business Journal.  Suntiva also opened a new office in San Antonio, Texas, in support of work for the Army and Air Force.

Also in 2010, Company executives landed high profile presentation roles at the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) World Congress, speaking on three separate panels in tracks on leadership, finance and human capital. In addition, Suntiva’s Chairman and Founder, Dr. Hany Malik, addressed the annual conference of the NTL Institute on implications of clinical psychology on organizational dynamics.  Suntiva staff were also featured as writers and guest columnists in various IT publications, including ITSMWatch.

The Company’s Board of Advisors was expanded with two new members: the appointment of Lieutenant General Garry L. Parks, U.S. Marine Corps (Retired) as an outside BOA member; and the addition of Rodney Matsushima, Suntiva EVP, as an inside BOA member.  Lt.Gen. Parks brings the credentials of a distinguished military career along with the experience of an executive leader of both government and private sector organizations.

In other highlights, Suntiva was recognized as the “Sponsor of the Year” by a DC area charity, Teardrops to Rainbows (T2R), at a special presentation during the charity’s Eighth Annual Dinner fundraiser. The organization provides money to local families with a child undergoing cancer treatment, and is a key component to Suntiva’s corporate strategy to give back to local communities, with a particular emphasis on children’s programs and non-profit organizations.

 “Last year was an outstanding year of growth, highlighted by many prestigious awards from among the most respected organizations that track companies making a difference,” said Dr. Hany Malik, Chairman and Founder, Suntiva. “Our team has done an amazing job in a challenging economy to deliver spectacular revenue results for our company by providing exceptional consulting services to our government clients. We enter 2011 well-poised to continue this growth trajectory; we expect to post another record-breaking year.”
