ACQUISITION CONSULTING
Suntiva is a market leader in providing acquisition strategy support and procurement expertise to large federal programs and organizations. Our professional staff has hundreds of combined years in direct, hands-on experience with Federal acquisition regulations, systems, and processes. Our professional staff includes many individuals with DAWIA Level II and III certification. We support a wide range of mission-critical programs and acquisition initiatives, at clients across both the Department of Defense and many Federal agencies. And, our work exclusively as trusted advisors to senior government leaders ensures that we incur no conflicts of interest as consultants to procurement organizations; this type of work is our core business.
Our expertise includes the following services:
Acquisition Strategy and Planning — Suntiva has skilled practitioners with comprehensive experience in Federal acquisition and large program acquisition strategies. In addition, our expertise cuts across both government and industry, so that we are able to provide government leaders with unique insights – such as how industry “capture teams” will react to specific types of strategies, objectives, performance measures, or evaluation factors embedded in a particular acquisition plan. Our consultants have worked in all phases of the acquisition lifecycle, from acquisition planning and requirements management through RFP development, source selection, award, and post-award administration. Our focus is to leverage our unique knowledge to make procurement a strategic, results-based function that contributes to mission success.
Contracting Support Services — The ability to provide end-to-end procurement solutions goes far beyond an understanding of the FAR and related regulations. We combine this knowledge with deep expertise in procurement processes and acquisition strategy, as well as a range of other services to include IT systems management, business process improvement, program management, and change management. Our DAWIA Level II and Level III staff can support all phases of federal procurement, from market research and requirements development to sourcing, bid evaluation, contract award, and contract administration. We believe strongly that government procurements are ultimately lower risk, less costly, and likelier to succeed, when the acquisition plan, RFP, and related documents are developed through an in-depth knowledge of both government and industry capabilities and best practices.
Acquisition & Procurement Policy Support — Acquisition & Procurement Policy Support — Our federal acquisition and procurement policy expertise includes a deep understanding of relevant regulations, from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and various agency supplements to DoD 5000 series and related major acquisition program documents. Our acquisition consultants have been involved at the grass-roots level for acquisition and procurement policy matters on acquisition/procurement strategies for major weapon systems programs, major automated information systems programs, and services acquisitions. Our staff is well versed on subjects such as workforce management, contingency contracting, procurement integrity, peer reviews, acquisition of services policy, cost and pricing, strategic sourcing, and e-business. In addition to these initiatives, we remain involved in international contracting, and program development and implementation issues as well.
Acquisition Knowledge Management— We provide complete planning and implementation services for advanced business intelligence (BI) solutions, turning data into actionable knowledge for the acquisition professional. Our consultants combine their expertise in procurement with an understanding of data mining, and the use of metrics as Key Performance Indicators and their impact on organizational performance. We leverage best-in-class tools and applications to deliver an enterprise view, and thus ensure that leaders can forecast what will happen as opposed to wondering what just happened. We also can leverage our organizational assessment methodology and deep acquisition and procurement domain knowledge to provide Procurement Management Reviews (PMR’s) and related assessment programs that can identify actionable strategies to reduce cost and improve performance.
