PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
For both public and private sector organizations, management of large projects and programmatic initiatives is a critical component to mission (and financial) success. But as detailed tools and techniques for program planning and risk management continue to evolve, there remains an often-overlooked but fundamental truth: the failure of large programs is most often due to a lack of strategic alignment between key stakeholders in the initiative. Successful organizations have moved beyond program management approaches focused on how to “do things right,” and now take a broader, portfolio-based view to “do the right things.”

We can provide key insights to acquisition strategy – with a clear understanding as to how the strategy will be received (and reacted to) by industry bid teams. And with acquisition, contracting, and program implementation expertise, we can provide seamless and continuous support to long-term programmatic initiatives.
Program Management Support – we provide expert staff to ensure successful execution of critical programs, typically in a role as trusted advisor and/or liaison between program management, contracting, industry, and the end customer. We are truly unique in our expertise across all of these stakeholder groups, with real-world experience as both government and industry Program Managers, acquisition professionals, and as end users/customers trying to “make things work” in the field.
Program Performance Management — we understand how incentives and performance measures can influence human behavior, and how to ensure that the measures and ‘levers’ are effectively linked to the intended set of desired business outcomes. This is no easy task – and requires the combination of business and domain expertise to go with a clear understanding of the various stakeholder organizations, their missions, objectives, and the unique and specific goals of the key leaders within those organizations.
Programmatic Risk Management — Having held leadership roles in the planning and execution of numerous large programs, we understand risk, and the management and mitigation factors that can spell the difference between success and failure. We often help to mitigate root cause risks that are deep below the surface – and linked to individual incentives or human behavioral factors that are invisible to the untrained eye.
