Mark Day, Vice President for Suntiva’s Civilian Business, champions the Digital, Workforce and Business Transformation Solutions and Services. Mr. Day, a recognized government leader and industry champion, and his expert team supports government leaders leveraging information technology and governance, organizational performance and human capital and federal acquisition lifecycle knowledge in support of achieving mission and operational success.
Prior to joining Suntiva, Mr. Day was the Deputy Assistant Commissioner (AC) for the Office of Integrated Technology Services (ITS) (now ITC) in GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). As Deputy AC, he supported the ITS Assistant Commissioner in managing the largest fee-for-service information technology (IT) procurement and services operation in the U.S. government. Mr. Day functioned as the COO for ITS overseeing budget, personnel and other internal operations. As COO, his oversight of the management of ITC included responsibility for a highly skilled and diverse workforce that manages more than 7,000 contracts, providing products, services and solutions to defense and civilian agencies, as well as to state, local and tribal governments.
Before moving to GSA’s ITS, Mr. Day served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where he focused on the re-compete of HUD’s primary IT support contract. Prior to 2009, he was CTO of ManTech Information Systems and Technology.
His prior government service includes nine years as Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Technology, CTO and Director of the Office of Technology Operations and Planning at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Mr. Day was also an Adjunct Professor of Information Management in the Masters in Public Administration Program of the Public and International Affairs Department at George Mason University (1999 – 2014)
