Robin Broadnax

I am an organizational performance consultant and executive coach. I help leaders and employees improve their performance and reach their goals.

What do you think makes Suntiva is a great place to work? Why do you enjoy working for Suntiva?

Suntiva has so many things about it that make it a great place to work. It starts with the people—my colleagues at Suntiva are exceptional. A lot of people say that about the place they work at, but for me, this is truly the first time that I have worked in a place where I would say that everyone I work with is both caring and competent. Great Minds, Great Hearts is more than just a slogan at Suntiva.

I also love the flexibility. Most days I work on client site or from home. As long at I meet my goals, no one is looking over my shoulder to make sure I am getting my work done. This is truly the best job that I have ever had.

What do you enjoy most in working with Suntiva’s clients?

I enjoy working with Suntiva clients because they are mission and values driven people. I am also mission and values-driven, so supporting people that really want to have a positive impact on the lives of others is truly satisfying to me. Public service means a lot to my clients, and I get to have a hand in meeting the needs of those that are served by the federal agencies I work with. I love that I get to help leaders, teams and organizations thrive by doing what they do more efficiently, with higher productivity and more alignment and engagement. I get such a sense of accomplishment from working with leaders and employees and seeing them shift behaviors and mindsets to move into the new direction they feel they need to head in.

What influenced or drove you to become an expert?

Interestingly enough, I went into organizational performance as a way to get to another profession. I was transitioning from higher education to human resources and organizational development was a great bridge to that type of work. The funny thing is that once I got into the field, it became clear to me and everyone around me (my friends would tell me that I must really love my work because I talked about it all the time) that I had fallen into the perfect work for me.

What drives or inspires you to work at Suntiva?

The quality and character of the people that I work with at Suntiva and in the government inspire me everyday. Being a public servant can sometimes feel like a thankless job, but I get to witness the heroic efforts many of my clients go through to further the mission of their organizations and meet the needs of the public. Again, it is an honor to work at Suntiva. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that I was able to get a job working with so many great people.
